Don’t just sit at home! There are plenty of great things to do around New York City this weekend.

Here’s a look at some of the best events happening around town between July 26-28.

Friday, July 26: Balloons!

Stroller Tours: Hiroshige: Enjoy an interactive, stroller-friendly tour of Hiroshige’s 100 Famous Views of Edo (feat. Takashi Murakami). Brooklyn Museum, 200 Eastern Pkwy., Brooklyn. 10 a.m. $32 (per family; 1 adult, 1 child) $16 additional adult. $28.80 Members.

Balloon Story: Step into a world of wonder at Balloon Story! For a limited time, explore NYC’s iconic Armory building, transformed into a playful dreamland of epic inflatable and eco-friendly balloon art. Park Avenue Armory, 643 Park Ave., Manhattan. 10 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $33.99 for ages 13 and older and $26.90 for ages 4-12.

Saturday, July 27: Family farm fun!

Pop Up Market: Shop handmade clothing, jewelry, crafts, and more – all from members of Fountain House, a mental health nonprofit fighting to improve health, increase opportunity, and end social and economic isolation for people most impacted by mental illness. Fountain House Gallery, 702 Ninth Ave., Manhattan. 1 – 7 p.m. Free entry. 

Family Farm Day: Bring the whole family up to Brooklyn Grange’s rooftop farm for compost, wiggly worms, and empty bee hives for young people (and parents) to investigate! Brooklyn Grange Rooftop Farm, 850 3rd Ave., Brooklyn. 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Free.

Sunday, July 28: Washed ashore!

New York Aquarium Hosts ‘Washed Ashore’ Experience: The New York Aquarium is debuting a traveling art exhibit, “Washed Ashore: Art to Save the Sea” to message about how plastics polluting the environment are harmful to wildlife and people. New York Aquarium, 602 Surf Ave., Brooklyn. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Included with admission: $25.95-$32.95. 

RiseBoro Farmers Market at Irving Square Park: Join RiseBoro Farmers Markets every Sunday at Irving Square Park to enjoy fresh produce, local products, and experiences that celebrate Bushwick’s multicultural heritage and creative spirit. Knickerbocker Avenue and Weirfield Street, Brooklyn. 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Free entry.
