There’s been a lot of buzz about the Bronx’s “Antique Row.”
The area, which consists of Mott Haven and Port Morris, has been a hot topic ever since a developer’s billboard attempted to rebrand the area as the new, up-and-coming “Piano District.” The developers at the center of the controversy are Somerset Partners and Chetrit, which plan to build two 25-story residential buildings in the neighborhood. The billboard has since come down.
Longtime Bronx residents will dispute the new name, but there’s no disputing that this area is a Bronx treasure. From thrift shops to Bronx-brewed beers, “Antique Row” has always been hot.
Here’s what to see, do, eat and more in the area.
