On Nov. 15, Ukrainians held a March of Remembrance of the Manmade Famine in Ukraine of 1932-’33 that was ordered by Josef Stalin and is blamed for the deaths of an estimated 5 million to 7 million Ukrainians. The march, led by Father Anthony, above, started at St. George Ukrainian Catholic Church at Seventh St. and Third Ave. and went to St. Patrick’s Cathedral for a solemn requiem service at which Senator Charles Schumer, left, spoke. Under Stalin, shipments of food to Ukraine were blocked, and the Ukrainians prevented from leaving the country.
